Had to leave our boy at the vets

Our lovely 8 year old lab/springer has been unwell for the last 12-18 hours or so with vomiting and general lethargy.

Got him an appointment at the vets, his gums are pale, heart rate really elevated and has completely lost his spark.

Vet is worried about shock arising from some sort of internal bleeding so they are putting him on fluids, scans, bloods etc and now in that horrible position of waiting for them to phone with an update.

Hoping that whatever is going on is treatable 😞

Sending hugs and positive thoughts to you, OP, and sloppy kisses to your DDog from my two DDogs. Flowers

Aww, bless you that’s so tough. Fingers crossed for your lovely boy

Thanks both. They are keeping him overnight (staffed). No sign of bleeding or tumours which is good and looking more like pancreatitis. He is still really ill but has fluids, pain relief and antibiotics so is hopefully much more comfortable than he was ❤️

How is he today? Mine has had a couple of nasty pancreatitis episodes and had to be kpet in on fluids and it's horrible leaving them, but he's in the best place.

Thanks for asking. It isn't good news sadly. He was transferred to a specialist vets but he was showing signs of kidney, liver and heart failure and we decided to call it quits in the early hours of this morning. We are all heartbroken. It was so quick and unexpected and both vets said it was a really aggressive onset and simply bad luck. Seems so unfair. ❤️
