I rescued a dog from an unsuitable home two years ago. He is 4 year old spaniel cross. He wasn’t supposed to be with us this long but it is apparent that he wasn’t treated well in the previous home and isn’t suitable for re homing. He is very timid. Ridiculously so. It has got to the point that we can’t even look at him without causing him to nervous wee. I have tried everything I know to reassure him and build his confidence in the house but I have run out of ideas. Does anyone have any experience of this and any good ways to help me help this wee lad? He’s a great boy - so loving and gentle. He deserves to feel more relaxed in his home.

He needs medication and input from a vet behaviourist. You won't be able to tackle this alone.
