Good brushes for bathing pooches!!

I'm in need of a really good brush I can use to work in the dog shampoo when I wash them (can't afford the groomers for all 3!) they are all short haired & absolutely love to roll in fox crap everyday .
They never seem 'clean' with the general pets at home or other more expensive shampoos I've brought for dogs.
I've brought the doggy tangle teaser type brushes before and the hand mitts but nothing seems to get them 'doggy clean?!'
Any links or recommendations would be grateful!!

Mud Daddy is a brilliant choice. They do a few different products. We have small (petrol an size) water tank with a brush on the end. It's brilliant. You pump the handle and water comes out and the brush is fab.

Portable to take in the car if you're off on a muddy walk.
