My 13 year old mini poodle/welsh terrier mix had a small brown pea sized lump on her mid thigh, the vet checked it out about 2 years ago when it first appeared and said to keep an eye on it. Nothing has happening in all that time but last weekend it looked like it had been caught/scratched and was a little bloody. I cleaned and put the cone of shame on her. Its now healed, does not bother her at all but now it's a flat black area rather than the pea lump, I have an appointment with the vet on Tuesday to see what it is.
Dr google is of course giving differing diagnosis and I know that due to her age it may be cancer.
Anyone else have similar? I am trying to steel myself for the worse case scenario so might not be such a shock.
Other than that she is happy in herself, still eating, peeing and pooping.
