My poor rug !

My German Shepard decided to throw up on my rug . It's a shag pile rug .

Hasn't been washed since last summer when I soaked it in the bath .

I've scrubbed it with zoflorax, washing up liquid and fabreezed the poor thing to death

It smells HORRIFIC

It's too big for the washing machine.
I'm goi g to borrow neighbours carpet washer - but the smell !

Do I need to skip it ? It probably needed a wash anyway but my god .....can't stand it now !

Can you sprinkle it with bicarbonate?? Leave it for ages then vacuum?

Don't use Zoflorax!!!! - It can be highly toxic to dogs if they come into contact with it.

I would be cautious of borrowing a carpet cleaner , it will stink of dog when you when finished 🙈

I would hire the rug doctor or you may end up upsetting the neighbour or having to buy a new one .

Hang it over the washing line and jet wash.

Have you got any of those outdoors laundromats near you? They usually have big washing machines.

Laundrette, get a new one or if you really want to rescue it: try washing powder & warm water and get scrubbing 🧼 🪣

Try looking on www.revolution-laundry.com/en-uk/ to see if any of their huge outdoor laundromat things are near you. But it needs bio washing powder, possibly even NapiSan if the colours aren't too bright

I've had to put it outside 🤢. Think it might have to be a new rug .
