Any guesses as to the mix??

Hi all,

Recently adopted 2 sister pups from dog pound, beautiful natured girls but can't place the mix on one of them. Warden said the mam was a collie, dad unknown. One of them is definitely a collie but this one is completely different!! Short-haired and more boxy shape skull, also getting bigger than her sister by the day!! Anyone hazard a guess as to what the mix might be??

That's what I was thinking as they are both so different. Sister definitely a collie, going to have a lovely long hair coat like my old border collie but this one is a short hair button eared leggy cheeky pup☺️. Both have lovely sweet temperaments but full of devilment.....haven't a plant left in my flowerbeds🙈🙈. Tried the whole Cayenne and black pepper and chili powder.....that was just seasoning for them....also lemons....they like chewing them so any suggestions be much appreciated though have resigned myself to a season or 2 of window boxes and hanging baskets only.

I reckon there is some Jack Russell in there. The ears are very terrier-y.

Really?? She's very big though that could be the mam coming out in her. The ears definitely do remind me of a Jack Russell..

my guess would be (staffy/Jack Russel) & collie parents.

how old have they put them at?

They were 9 weeks when surrendered to the pound and that was 4 weeks since we've adopted them so they about 13 weeks now.

I thought Jack Russell cross before reading the other suggestions of this on the thread.
