End of dog season - phantom?

Hi, my dog is at the end of her first season I think...it's been 3.5 weeks since the spotting started and her vulva is not swollen now but her nipples are swollen still. Does this sound like a phantom pregnancy is about to start? 😬

Phantom pregnancy usually starts about 6-8 weeks after season so this sounds a bit early.

In some bitches nipples do swell during the season

Our bitches nipples swelled and didn’t go back down like before, after her first season
no phantom pregnancy though

This is reassuring...thanks for replies 👍

Mine went straight from her first season into a phantom pregnancy with the symptoms you describe.

The vet told me to schedule her spay in 1 month (so 1 month after the phantom pregnancy started) as he advised every heat she experience would most likely be followed by another phantom pregnancy

She's spayed now and I'm really glad I did it.

Sorry, to add. When she had her op, her womb was swollen as that was part of the whole thing. It wasn't a problem and apparently made it easier to locate for the procedure.
