Eye problems

Our dogs have been in kennels for a week and the eldest who is 10 has come back a bit subdued yesterday.
Today she was sick a few times on a walk and again in the afternoon. Her third eyelid was showing on both eyes and got her into the vets. She thinks it’s an allergic reaction to something or conjunctivitis - she’s got drops and is to go back if she’s no better. Her temp was slightly raised.
She’s a bit clingy and shaky - will see how she is in the morning but worried about her-is it normal to have a temp with conjunctivitis ?

I'm not a vet but when my dogs have had conjunctivitis (one had it as a chronic condition for six months) the third eyelid didn't show and I'm sure he didn't have a temperature. Eye infections are extremely localised which is why systemic antibiotics by mouth don't work. It sounds like something else to me, a low grade infection elsewhere.

Wouldn't of thought that conjunctivitis causes a temperature no! Sounds like bacterial as in antibiotics needed I'd take her back I would asap. I dont know if animals can get it but humans can have cellulitis. I'd take her back without hesitation
