Brain games

What brain games do you do with your dogs? I’m looking for inspiration please 😊. Ours is 1 and he’s learning the name of some of his toys, sniffing out treats in the garden, retrieving treats from snuffle mats, from between layers of tea towels, and from cardboard boxes and tubes, and doing the usual sit/stay/come/turnaround/etc. Hide and seek is a bit hit and miss as his stay is a bit rubbish!

If his stay is rubbish work on that- make him stay when you hide something before you send out to find- not only is the find the reward but also the self control will be tiring in itself.

Yes that’s true and I do focus on stay as that’s the one he’s not so good at - I’m just looking for some other ideas as stay gets a bit repetitive

We've taught Ada to tidy her toys - so basically picking something up and putting it in a box. Helps if they know drop and hold first

Good idea @tizwozliz - will try that 😊
