Indestructable dog toy

Ddog chews all his dogs and they fall apart within 5 mins. He has a monkey from pets at home that he has chewed the ears off, ducks that have legs chewed off etc etc. He pulls the stuffing out, I try and sew the hole up but doesn't work.

Any indestructable toy recommendations?

I have a dog accessory company my recommendation is buffalo horns from green and wild

The only toy that our dog has not destroyed is a boomer ball, we got it from Amazon and he has had it months.

TheCanyon · 22/09/2022 21:19

Goughnuts, can get a replacement if your dog chews through it.

our labs favourite non breakable toy is a mini micro scooter wheel 😁

marmaladepop · 22/09/2022 21:23

How old is he? My dogs have all done this but it stopped/lessened as they matured. Deer antlers are very hard wearing but my dogs got bored of them. A marrowbone from the local supermarket goes down a treat, lasts forever and I then wash out and refill then freeze.

tabulahrasa · 22/09/2022 22:26

I just buy stuffing free ones and let him destroy them tbh, he enjoys it and because there’s no stuffing they do last longer before they become unsafe.

serenghetti2011 · 22/09/2022 22:30

I don’t let my dog rip toys to bits so tend not to get ones that he can do that too, as he loves socks so I don’t want him to replicate the behaviour so he has yak bones -15 min per go
filled frozen kong
or like a puzzle thing usually use when I’m busy and want him occupied or if the kids are playing or similar he had a tuggy he liked but I play with it with him. also a knuckle nyla bone he likes I rotate stuff to stop him getting bored and it goes away after so long.

Pumpkinsnearlyready · 22/09/2022 22:31

Husky proof ime!!

Booklover3 · 22/09/2022 22:33

My lab has destroyed everything I’ve bought… what she can’t destroy she seems to bury lol

DimplesToadfoot · 22/09/2022 22:49

I have a destroyer of all toys, Kongs last minutes if I'm lucky. For my dogs birthday this year I bought her a turtle from Amazon and amazingly it's still alive, it still has its squeak too, she's nibbled bits off its legs but otherwise its in one piece, I'm seriously impressed.

DDog use to destroy all toys in minutes too. Surprisingly the best ones for her were the cheap squeeky spiky bones from tesco - still have the originals.

She has finally calmed down age 4 and still has her Birthday presents from June, minus squeekers and with small holes.

WhackingPhoenix · 22/09/2022 23:39

Mine is a destroyer so he isn’t allowed soft teddies anymore (I feel terrible but my hoover was working double duty!)

He has a hard plastic crocodile that he seems to adore, some oyster shells that he proudly chose himself at the beach (Grin) and a very tough snake from Pets at Home (the blue/red/yellow range)

I don’t know why he goes so nuts over teddies as he leaves all cats, pillows, cushions, shoes and clothes alone!

whiteroseredrose · 22/09/2022 23:51

Mine used to have Kong Black toys for powerful chewers

Strong rubber hollow toys for our lab who pulls anything stuffed or soft apart in minutes - often have very good ones in TK Maxx. Things like this www.amazon.co.uk/Happypet%C2%AE-Grubber-Football-Bounce-Fetch/dp/B00AQUNAQ0/ref=asc_df_B00AQUNAQ0/?tag=googshopuk-21&linkCode=df0&hvadid=309842998506&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=17782286053469873050&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=m&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9045353&hvtargid=pla-433355424908&psc=1&th=1&psc=1

Hollow, rubbery/rubber. Always supervised play and I try to get two of the same of things to reinforce swap/drop and toys go away before he gets bored of them. In terms of letting him relax with chewing, pizzles, ostrich bones, buffalo/pig ears etc as he will happily busy himself with a cow hoof for a solid half hour or more then crash out.

Olddognewtrick · 23/09/2022 17:26

Would second Nerf as being pretty good. Newtrick is currently having a great time with an old bicycle tyre!

He found an untouched Kong teddy today when my daughter was doing some tidying up. Swiftly and efficiently removed its little squeaking heart.
