Top tips for dog and new baby

Hi all

I have a lovely 8 months old cockerpoo and am expecting again, the baby should be here at the end of March. DDog is very gentle and used to our 3 year old, we’ve had no problems with aggression etc aside from puppy nipping which she has now grown out of, also excitability (jumping up mainly, she’s not much of a barker).

Does anyone have any tips as to what I could or should be doing to prepare her for the baby or secure the house etc? I would be especially interested in Cockerpoo owner responses. She’s been to training and knows to sit, come, stay. She’s fully toilet trained etc.

TIA

When we brought ds home we took his socks off and let ddogs (x4!) sniff and lick them!! They soon got bored and went off. Never made a point of shoving them away - they were obviously supervised but a quick sniff usually satisfied their interest.
Ds is 8 now and declares them his besties! Ime one of the best bits of being a parent and ddog owner is watching those relationships blossom.
