Makes you laugh/smile. Mine sometimes sleeps on his back with his legs in the air and his mouth open like this. I love it.😄

Really exaggerated, noisy yawns. Like an old man. Makes me laugh every time and he looks MOST affronted. And the legs akimbo on his back naps. And his deep sleep dream gentle WOOF WOOFS are so adorable.

LaurieFairyCake · 18/09/2022 16:45

When he realises I'm awake in the morning he stretches back so his head is on the pillow next to me - like a stinky breathed lover while gazing at me adoringly Grin

Strugglingtodomybest · 18/09/2022 16:48

I love it when one of mine holds his nylabone between his paws and then rolls onto his back, still clutching it, and chews it whilst lying on his back.

Milknosugarta · 18/09/2022 17:02

Ours knows when it's 5 o'clock (dog dinner time) and gives us a big nudge and licks his lips.

Stellaris22 · 18/09/2022 17:36

Jumps on the bed and whines at you until you lift the duvet to let her under.

KangarooKenny · 18/09/2022 17:46

I smile when I wake up in the night and feel that warm lump cuddled up to me.

Spanielsarepainless · 18/09/2022 18:16

Mine lies on his back with his front paws vertical.

gingertoast · 18/09/2022 18:22

Grinning when we come home. Not snarling, just curls up her nose and shows her front teeth. She's also just started chattering her teeth when excited. I love it

Puts his paws on my legs and stares into my eyes when I’ve been at work.
Sleeps on his back looking like a total idiot.
Makes wibbly noises when he dreams. Then the little woofs….
Decides very firmly when it’s bedtime and huffs till I agree.
So many things.

MissyB1 · 18/09/2022 18:43

Sits up straight on the settee with her legs out in front of her like a human!!

Jericha · 18/09/2022 18:45

Ours tells my husband to go to bed. I've been going to bed earlier than him due to pregnancy which the dog clearly doesn't agree with (usually go up together). The dog started off giving him glares and loudly huffing and apparently has progressed to going to the other room, barking so DH gets up to see what he wants, then the dog rushes past him and jumps in his seat on the sofa Grin

Effitall · 18/09/2022 18:47

Boots the toaster on the shelf when he fancies a piece, brings us whatever gifts he can find when we get home (his blanket, toy, a shoe).

SillyBub · 18/09/2022 18:51

Stands about a metre in front of me, facing away, turns his head, gives me the puppy dog eyes and then reverses into my legs so I'll give him a back massage. If I'm sat down, he'll reverse onto my lap.

Giggorata · 18/09/2022 18:52

Lab 1 yips happily into her dinner as she eats. She also backs up from it when I put it down and barks, looking at me as she does so. I know she is saying thank you and also isn't it great.
Lab 2 looks up adoringly at me when she is lying at my feet. She can twist her neck astonishingly and it looks really uncomfortable, but she has done this for years.
Huge pup, much too big for laps, rests her tummy on my knee instead.

Petalpup · 18/09/2022 18:54

Prances around with a sock/shoe/nearest similar offering in her mouth when I get her lead out.

lifts her leg up like she’s cocking it but really wants you to stroke her inner thigh 😂

throws herself onto the lap of anyone who sits down (she’s a bit big to be a lap dog but she doesn’t realise this)

woofs and waits if she gets stuck behind even the smallest obstacle until we move it and she can get past (when in reality she could easily squeeze through a gap, jump over something or go round it!)

she is so funny

That’s so funny. Very clever.

I love dogs so much. They are awesome.

Soft woofing when they dream is so adorable.

Rolls on his back and acts the fool to get my attention if that fails he will pick his chew up znd throw it in my direction

guinnessandblackcurrant · 18/09/2022 20:53

Wags her tail when she's dreaming.
Wiggles uncontrollably when greeting me, even if I've just been to the bin and back.
Always checks in on me on walks, like she's on an invisible bungee.
Dogs are fab.

SirChenjins · 18/09/2022 20:57

Does a sort of mumble grumble sound when I tell him to get down if he’s excited and jumping up on me - he’ll plonk himself down reluctantly and look at me with his big eyes in a sort of ‘I’ll do it, but I’m not happy with you Chen’ way

When he clambers on my knee and then backs his bum onto me before collapsing onto my lap and wriggling until he’s comfy

Jumps onto the bed for his morning tummy scratch

Canthinkofaname79 · 18/09/2022 20:58

I love this, ours has started doing all his tricks if we get home after all being out, realised this is cos my husband been given him treats if he's first home. My husband who never wanted or likes dogs, who now bloody adores him and the feeling is mutual.

PopGoesBang · 18/09/2022 21:03

Since having the baby and my partner going back to work he'll make sure I know the baby is crying, and if I'm not in the room, doesn't matter who is he comes and gets me. He'll also lay at my feet when I feed her.

He'll always bring something when we get home, a sock, a slipper, his bed.

On walks he never goes too far ahead and is constantly looking back to check we aren't too far away.

MysteriesOfTheOrganism · 18/09/2022 21:58

So many things... 'Sleeping on the sofa or a chair with her head dangling down or just on the floor on her back with her limbs akimbo... greeting me home by wiggling her butt madly, rubbing up against me, racing off, racing back, then racing off again to dementedly chew a squeak toy... wriggling herself between my bum and the back of the chair for a snooze... the little snuffly rumbling she makes when I hold her in my arms and stroke her belly... the snort of disgust she gives when we don't let her chase a cat... She's a constant source of joy.

LBF2020 · 18/09/2022 23:45

We also get lots of gifts (goldie!)
He brings the chicken feeder in from the garden when it's empty. I like to think he is making sure the hens have feed but the reality is he wants me to fill it so he can eat their food 🤣
He loves counter surfing so any food gets nabbed, but he often brings it to me to unwrap for him lol!
He also has a thing for belly slides, run really fast (extra points for downhill) and then he just belly slides.
If I could come back as a dog, I would choose to be a golden retriever.

EbbyEbs · 19/09/2022 08:55

Mine goes around the house each evening nudging everything with her nose to ensure nothing is out of place. She’s the cleanest, least destructive dog I’ve ever had … in fact she will literally “tidy up” if she sees anything out of place. I shouldn’t laugh really as it’s down to anxiety but it’s so cute to watch her going around tidying up
