We are so excited to be getting our much longed for Shihtzu next month. We have met him for a few mins just to see him. We haven't had a dog since 2018 and we have 2 kids 6 and 9. What in the world do I need?? I'm so out of touch with this! I am thinking of crate training. In terms of basics what does one need for a puppy? And where do I even start! So far I have a crate with comfy bed, water and food bowl (very small so puppy can get to it) little toy, good brush and breeder will supply food.Does anyone have any recommendations for a good book I can read about training etc? Thanks so much. I don't think I put this much effort into my kids lol!
