Anyone know does this breed have a name golden retriever x Australian kelpie

We have a puppy who has a golden retriever mum and Australian kelpie dad his absolutely Gorgeous golden and fluffy and looks more like his mum but I've been looking for weeks now to know does this breed have an actual name for it does anyone know? Please
He was sold as just a crossbreed between the two

A mongrel or cross breed?

It's not a breed, it's a crossbreed. A cute or silly name doesn't change that. And progeny of two dogs with entirely different purposes in life may well have personality problems.

Yep, cross breed. No name that makes it worth more than its pedigree parents.

In Australia, it will be a kelpie cross. Everything else comes after that.

However, if you want a cutsie name for him as per current trends then I'd imagine it would be a Golden Kelpie.

Golden Retriever/Black Kelpie

It's a cross breed, a mutt/mongrel would have more than 2 breeds in its genetics.

A cross breed is generally from two parents of specific breeds

A breed will go back generations and have a standard eg size, ear shape and coat colours
For example the golden retriever part of your pup was bred I think in 1868 by Lord tweedmouth and recognized as a breed in 1913 by the kennel club if I have my dates right

I'm sure it's a lovely pup, I have a cross breed myself with it's own daft nickname but prefer to say she's a cross I use the more obvious breed
