Caneston vs Surolan ear drops for fungal infection

Vet prescribed Surolan - £58
I have Caneston from last year (didn't realise when went to vets otherwise would have already used them I think).

What to do?

Surolan is the licenced medication, the vet prescribed which you can't take back

Apologies, I wasn't clear.

I baulked at the £58 and asked for a prescription instead. I came home and found the Caneston before I'd got as far as ordering the Surolan on line.

What’s the expiry date? If it’s in date I’d phone the vet and ask
