Canvassing general opinions as none of my dogs have done this before!
Vet or not? Get it very carefully clipped at the groomers? (If I can find one that does it). Use pet antiseptic powder, bandage? Or get him a full set of acrylics?!
He’s a 9 year old Staffy, he’s a bit of a nail nibbler and I think he’s probably cracked it while beautifying himself. Apart from initial dramatic cow eyes and showing me it, he’s walking around normally, if ever so slightly carefully.

Could you call your vet and ask for advice? Looks like it could get infected poor thing

Mine had similar and the vet snipped a bit off to prevent him catching it on something and it getting ripped off. This was not a pleasant experience for my dog, just to warn you to be prepared, maybe ask for them to numb the area first somehow? They also gave him antibiotics. When it eventually happened again I just left him to bite it off himself. If you think there is a danger of it catching on something I'd take him to the vets.

Go to vet not groomer. Bathe in salt water. Mines lost claws many a time racing about.
