If the walk is in the shade and there is a river to cool off?

@Pelypoptide hi, I did listen, we decided not to take him.

it was so so hot in our garden at 12 (34), so we decided against it. It wasn’t worth the worry whilst we were out.

down by the river it was much more comfortable even in the sun (what is that about?! Even not in water the temperature was much more pleasant and I could happily sit in the sun, away from the river a 5 minute walk to the car was unbearable).

we got home at teatime to a very sad and sulkily little boy - well after the initial I have reeeeaaalllyy missed you welcome home 😂. He cheered up in the end after I gave him a tiny bit of chicken from my chow mien 😁

Any pictures of your little chap? I love the little ones. There was one in the High Street yesterday and he honestly thought he owned the street. Commenting on everyone who went by in the ‘small dog, but I think I am a lion’ way.

However they do state the dog loved catching water. I would be more worried about secondary drowning than heat stroke if the dog was "fine" throughout the walk.

Sounds more likely
