Using Kennels

My 1 YO dog is doing 2 weeks in Kennels in October. Are there any tips on how to make this a lovely, positive experience for him? I've chosen a really lovely, active Kennels.

I’d book them in for a day and then an overnight beforehand so they know that they get picked up and their first experience isn’t a two week stint.
ive had dogs that love the kennels and ones that hate them. One of my current boys hated it so I use a sitter at the moment
id pack a favourite hard toy like a buffalo horn and their bedding. Good walk beforehand
