Is this Elbow Dysplasia?

Have just got back from Vets with our 1 yo Labrador having had a CT scan.

I wasn’t able to see the vet who carried out the scan but one of the nurses handed me a sheet with aftercare tips on it.

It also states that our dog had Bilateral Medial Coronoid Disease.....I’ve googled it and, although I can’t get a definitive answer, it seems to be very much linked to Elbow Dysplasia.

I will obviously talk with my vet but the nurse said it might not be until Wednesday. I’m worrying loads and want to be prepared if it’s ED as I know how debilitating it can be.

My previous Lab was diagnosed with ED but it turned out, after six weeks, to be a sheared coronoid process. They are the bits like buttress roots that support the joint and it had partially cracked off. He had an operation and that was that. I think ED can be sorted with operations, if it is severe. Think Supervet? But everything depends on how bad it is. Don"t immediately jump to thinking he'll be crippled. If it is ED, tell the breeder as all reputable breeders screen for ED and they should know that there has been a problem with a specific mating.
