Will allowing other dogs to stay upset my dog??

So for context - I am very much THAT dog pawrent (never would have thought this would be me - but there you go…)

I’m about to move into a flat which I am going to live in sometimes and then go on lots of trips and Airbnb it while im away.

Im torn about making it dog friendly. I’m not so worried about damage etc - I’ve got a longer term plan to do big renovations - but im worries that if other dogs stay there my dog might get upset when he smells other dogs have been there he gets home!

he’s not at all territorial and always welcomes other dogs into the house.

am I being totally and utterly ridiculous??

If he’s not territorial I wouldn’t worry. I once had two cats and if one of them was taken to the vet the other one was so territorial he wouldn’t allow cat back in house. We used to have to take them both together after that!

We've all been that parent at some point 🤣

He might get very excited and look for the other dog for a while - mine always know if I've been unfaithful to them and been with other dogs when I've been out without them! It is more of a " where is it?" Thing though.

He looks the sort of chap that happily invites you in for a coffee and chats about which book he's currently reading.

It's fine! I'm a dog walker and regularly have other dogs in my car etc. without my dog being there. He might have a sniff around but otherwise he's not remotely bothered by it
