shampoo for matted fur

Ddog (spaniel, 1 year old) does like to roll in grass. His ears are really has matted fur and he goes to bite me if I try to brush them out. Have tried a muzzle but that isn't working.

Gave him a bath today and he was really timid in the bath and let me cut the worse bits out. Any recommendations for detangling shampoo?

Get a good dodgy conditioner, the ones you have to leave in for 5+ minutes.
I currently use 5-Oil-Nourish from Animigo , got it off Amazon.
It'snot cheap, but it let's you brush out all mutts easily... I have long haired dogs!

try mane and tail detangling spray.

No idea how it compares to others, but I got Cowboy Magic detangler after reading recommendations on here, and I think it works well
