Can anybody recommend a good breathable waterproof coat for cockapoos?

Our cockatoo hates getting wet in the rain. Literally tantrums after until she has dried off. Thinking a good coat would help.

Equafleece was a game changer with our cocker spaniel

Equafleece , our dog has a variety of their coats / jumpers / suits and they are excellent , don’t restrict movement and wash well .

Are t equafleece really hard to get on? I’m already thinking ahead to winter. I got ddog in October so we weren’t doing long walks this winter.

Equafleece is easy to put on I'd have said.

But I'm not sure why the OP wants a 'breathable' waterproof coat for a dog. I may be missing something, but whereas goretex etc is brilliant for humans because we sweat, dogs only sweat through their paws and pant don't they? In which case I don't see why they'd need a coat that 'breathes'?

A breathable coat will still allow heat to escape.

Equafleece are easy to get on and off , if you have problems they can insert a zip for you at extra cost .

Equafleece you pull on. My dog makes a bit of a fuss about one front leg then he just stands there. Getting it off is much easier I take his back legs out and he backs out of the rest.

Its worth it though for the instantly dry and clean dog (less his paws) after a wet muddy walk and a swim!

We strip the equafleece off him before he goes back in the crate in the boot. I've lined that with a bath mat - we arrive home with a clean dog with slightly damp paws - that's literally it!

You just get used to the the equafleece and develop a method of getting them on off. They are just so much better than anything else.

My two would strangle themselves if they had coats on off lead but they have them on for road walks if it's hammering down.

I guess it depends on the dog, mine would definitely be a nightmare to get an eauafleece on although they sound great. She doesn’t keep still and definitely wouldn’t tolerate something going over her head.
