hi, dog has just started on epiphen for seizures, vet warned could be sleepy and wobbly for 3/4 weeks, I called yesterday and they said again it’s normal, but he’s actually fallen/slipped over now, is this normal level of wobbliness, what side affects did your dog suffer when starting this medication?
dog only started on medication on Wednesday evening.

My dog didn't have any side affects from it.

Common side effects are:
Sedation - sleepiness, wobbliness
Polyphagia - increased hunger.
The sedation usually wears off after about 10-14 days the excessive hunger usually starts to kick in after a couple of months.
There are many other less common side effects.
You should have a data sheet or URL link to the data sheet provided.

Thanks, I have the list and spoke to the vets, I just wondered what others experience was, as being wobbly is pretty vague, all hard floors aren’t helping him lol

Like any medication and that goes for humans too there is a list of possible side affects. If you read the leaflet in a box of paracetamol you will see. It does not mean they will get them.
