So you can make luxury pyjama trousers from them.

So that when you’ve had a rough day, your dog’s ears are smooth and strokable (and this is consistent for all dogs.)
if you’re away from your own dog you can borrow another one’s velvet ears and it will be the same.

I have a six month old black lab whose ears are made of velvet. I have no answers sensible or otherwise.

Why is velvet made of dog ears?

Sadly tattooed velvet in our dogs cases because of their pasts but yes still lovely soft velvet made for gentle kisses

I’ve just been examining (stroking) them again. So when the velvet ears stop, the head fur is slightly more wiry. Why? I might be overthinking this.

I have German Shepherds so the velvet ears are followed by amazing floofiness 🥰🥰

My dog is nearly all velvet, only a little bit of her back is wirier (she's a whippet cross). Everyone comments on it . She's the cuddliest dog ever despite the bony knees and elbows.

Our dog currently has wallpaper paste on one ear. Apparently dhs feet is a great place to lie, especially whilst wallpapering. He just had a bath yesterday too.

Also I’m confused how floppy ultra soft velvet ears can suddenly stand up and move into different poses depending on the situation. Makes no sense at all.

When we got ddog she hated her ears touched. She panicked... A few years in she doesn't mind at all now. I don't touch them deliberately but if by accident she doesn't flinch now...

My sweet sweet girl had ears made of the best cheesey wotsit kind of velvet. Unfortunately she passed suddenly a few weeks ago and I miss them a lot.
