James Wellbeloved?

ElenaSt · 29/05/2022 11:30

That was too small for me to read sorry my eyes are great with small detail!

My three are now on V-dog traditional flakes. One poo each a day. No noticeable farting. Shiny coats. Energetic outside and calm indoors. Teeth are good.

I add a lot of water and they love it.

Sorry I would never feed my dogs a vegetarian diet 😑

They're currently raw fed but I need to switch to dry but my dog has allergies to

Chicken
Pork
Sprats
Turkey
Rabbit
Barley
Millet
Cowsmilk
Rapeseed oil

James Wellbeloved?

They have barley in their foods.

What about Forthglade, they do a "just" range, ie just duck, Turkey etc, had a quick look and it also states its grain free??

abbey44 · 29/05/2022 11:43

I feed my dog the Sainsbury's hypoallergenic terrines (they come in trays) - which suit her really well as she does sometimes have a sensitive digestion. She doesn't have actual allergies though. One of the varieties (you can buy them separately) is with lamb - here's a link with the ingredients. Do you think it might be suitable for your dog?

www.sainsburys.co.uk/gol-ui/product/sainsburys-adult-dog-hypoallergenic-recipe-terrine-with-fresh-lamb---vegetables-400g

There are a number of other dog foods that come up if you put 'hypoallergenic dog food' in the search bar for Sainsbury's - and, I assume, for other supermarkets too.

Good luck with finding a solution.

FeedTheDoge · 29/05/2022 11:46

I have 3 dogs that need to be on the same food so it would be really expensive to get terrine as they would need around 10 a day between them!

I wish I could carry in with raw but can't :(

Sorry just realised you need dry food, Forthglade was wet trays and thier dry food is very expensive. We use Harringtons dry but im gonna guess it has grains in it

nearlyspringyay · 29/05/2022 11:49

Burns wild fish?

Whitney168 · 29/05/2022 11:50

Fish4Dogs OK, I think?

BiteyShark · 29/05/2022 11:52

What about millieswolfheart salmon and veg.

Sorry if missed any ingredients on your list.

RockAndOrRoll · 29/05/2022 11:53

Look at Fresco who do a few options that have different or restricted ingredients. Eg horse and artichoke.

LightandMomentary · 29/05/2022 11:53

I use Royal Canin Hypoallergenic for my dog who is allergic to much the same things. He's never looked back

LightandMomentary · 29/05/2022 11:54

Meant to say it's the veterinary hypoallergenic. I buy it online.

WeAllHaveWings · 29/05/2022 11:57

Email/call millies wolfheart customer service with your list and they will tell you if they have a suitable recipe. They have loads of different options, ingredients are on their website but it would probably be easier calling.

I think there may be a couple of Barking Heads varieties that will suit including this fish one barkingheads.co.uk/products/fish-n-delish-dry

I ordered millies samples a while ago and my pup who loves AVA dry wouldn't touch it 🤦🏻‍♀️

They're complete divas.

I looked up Fish4dogs but it's only 66% rated and doesn't have great reviews.

I appreciate all the suggestions, am working through them :)

Does it have to be dry? My dog isn't keen on kibble but the same food in a can he loves and Millie's do wet food as well.

Ooh. Am liking the look of this.

Think I will go get a small bag to try. Thanks

We use tails.com, they cater to loads of different allergies and can tailor your food to each dog. We moved because our Scottie has IBD and allergic to milk and she's been doing well

MontyDonsBlueScarf · 29/05/2022 12:18

On AllAboutDogFood you can search using the filter 'avoid ingredients', I don't know whether they list everything you need to avoid but it would be a start. www.allaboutdogfood.co.uk/the-dog-food-directory

sarge89 · 29/05/2022 12:21

Why do you need to switch from raw? Lots of meats not mentioned in your list. Ours love lamb!

I was of the same opinion about the vegetarian diet and they've had meat all their lives but the switch to the flakes has been great and the three are thriving in it. One has pancreatitis and he is doing fantastic on this food.

I'm hugely surprised as how good the food is and suggest you read the reviews on Amazon yo see how much it has helped dogs with sensitive stomachs or ailments.
