BuddyRider- does anyone have one?

Hi, I’ve been looking at dog carriers for my bike, and the best one for weight distribution seems to be the BuddyRider, which is more of a seat than a basket. If it rains, he’d be under my poncho, so that’s not an issue.

Does anyone use one? They’re quite expensive, but if it worked, it would get a lot of use, as I’d ride to walking spots, rather than going by car.

No but I see tiktok videos of a guy with what looks like a cavachon in one. Plus I’ve seen someone with one in real life and he was flying along. The tiktok guy his dog has little fighter pilot type goggles. His dog looks happy.

Yes I have one.
honedtly have hardly used it, but that’s because of a fit issue I haven’t sorted out. I like my saddle high, but with the buddy rider, you must be able to put your feet on the ground while sitting on the saddle.
basically I’ve been so busy I havent done the cycling to nicer walking I’d been planning, but have just stayed nearer to hope.
dog is small terrier sized - 7-8kg, w longish legs. Fits her fine.

Thanks for your replies. I bought one, but it’s a tight fit on my bike, and the handlebars catch on it slightly.

I’d also struggle to get on and off the bike, so I’m sending it back.

Shame because it’s a great idea!

We looked at them but they’re big and expensive. Picked up a Trixie pet buddy box thing on FB for £10 which suits us well for the recreational riding we do

I have one and it’s great, tho actually I don’t use it all that much. Prob wouldn’t go more than 3-4 miles w it.
