Lump in 8 week old puppy

We just got a little chihuahua pup last week but today we noticed a lump near her genitals. We are getting her seen by our own vets but not till tomorrow and we are worried sick in the meantime. She is all well within herself but just wondering If you could have look at photo if you have an idea what it may be?

I understand you won't be able to say exactly what it is but am really worried it's something sinister. It's soft and squishy.

The first photo looks like a hernia - if it is, they usually just keep an eye on it and repair it when you get them neutered if it needs it. Sometimes they don’t need repaired and sometimes they can need it done sooner, just depends.

I could be wrong, but that’s what it looks like to me.

I am not a vet but agree - it’s a little hernia. One of my bitches has one and it was repaired when spayed. It was such a non-event I can’t remember which dog it was.

Get your vet to look at in person to confirm but don’t panic in the mean time.
