Blistered paws

Hello everyone, wondering if anyone has experienced blistered paws on their dog before?

Our 2 year old labradoodle was a little bit lame on his walk today so I checked him over when we got home to find both front paws had blistered and burst. He's not in mega pain as far as I can tell and there's no weeping or oozing but I do want to see what can be done other than cleaning and antiseptic?

This is a new thing, he loves a foot rub so I see them all the time, it can only have happened in the last day or so.

Any experience or advice would be very welcome! Thank you.

Sounds like he might’ve walked on something caustic or someone has put lawn chemicals or fertiliser down. Would that be a possibility?
if it is chemical I’d run under the hose for a good while and then splash with diluted hibiscrub and then dry.
maybe look on Amazon and see if you can get some dog boots quickly to keep them clean and dry.

Sometimes fresh tarmac (not hot) can cause blistering. He's walked on something, poor dog.

Id take him to the vets tomorrow- pup might need a little pain killer too! Might be nippy and keep licking at it
You dont want to have an infection in the paws and you need proper advice on if the injury is bad enough to cover or let breathe
a good rule for walking dogs is: if its hot outside and you place your hand on the pavement and its too hot for you, its too hot for the dog.

My dog had peeling/blistered appearing paws and it turned out to be zinc deficiency.
