Dog not eating 🙁

Our dog didn’t want breakfast this morning. He NEVER passes up the opportunity for food, ever. He has pooed, is drinking, but isn’t tempted by any food at all, even his favourite dog biscuits. Hasn’t puked. We popped him to the vets as he was also shaking this morning. Vet said slightly raised temp but to just keep an eye on him. He seems to be pretty much himself otherwise. Any bright ideas to stop me worrying?

What about a bit of scrambled egg, or do you have any chicken - or human food he might be tempted by?

We don’t worry until DDog refuses cat food but tbh very occasionally she just doesn’t want what’s offered and has a day of not eating her food but as long as she’s drinking and weeing etc it wouldn’t massively worry me.

Give it 24 hrs and if he’s still not wanting food you need to contact your vet again.

Thanks both, I know logically whatever it is will probably pass, but……he’s my boy, and he’s never said no to food before! We’ll try him with a bit of cheese and/or chicken and see how he goes.
