How often each week could I feed ddog leftovers without it hurting her?

Just that really? Two or three days a week she has leftover meat and veg that I have cooked. Often it's chicken, sometimes pork and sometimes beef with whatever veg is left. No gravy or sauce and no salt in the veg. Outside of that she has Lily's kitchen wet food with a bit of kibble mixed in.
She is fussy but the days she gets leftovers seems to help with her turning her nose up at the dog food as I think variety helps. She does beg for carrots while I'm chopping and frozen peas so occasionally throw some in the dogfood as well. But is it bad for her?

Same with my dogs. When I have the money I feed Royal Canin, but with the inflation I don't have the money to feed my family all month, let alone the dogs (4 of mine and sometimes family dogs too) so I mix table scraps in with the dry food to stretch it.

Royal Canin is really quite overpriced for the nutrition it provides.

www.allaboutdogfood.co.uk is a fantastic independent comparison website and helps you find a balance between price and nutrition; you can also filter by certain requirements (e.g. grain free).

My husband cooks her liver a couple of times a week. It's not leftovers as I for one won't touch it! We do give her left over plain rice, pasta or veg. We have a Sunday roast most weeks and my husband always cooks a bit extra roast spuds and veg for her along with a bit of the meat.

You do need to avoid garlic and onion though as they're not good for them.

My dog gets human food as in meat , veg and gravy on a Sunday. We usually put leftovers in his bowl.

You could very easily find a cheaper, better value food than Royal Canin, I promise.

My DDog had our food when it was suitable- salmon, plain meats, veg but I think that it's calcium that may be lacking in human food I read? So I reckoned on half dog food for the added vitamins minerals etc and half our food was probably a good balance

My dog gets leftovers too.. any veg, meat or pasta that's left over
Today she had roast potatoes from Monday
She's a lab and would eat anything! She's very fit and healthy too.
She does have dog kibble too, but variety is spice of life 😀
