Feeling Guilty Going on Holiday

We have an almost 4 year old cockapoo (rescue before I get the comments!).

We are going on holiday for 2 weeks tomorrow and have booked her into her boarders. She is a lovely woman who Moo loves to bits but Moo hasn't been away from us for ages. She's been to my parents or her dog walker for a day here and there but not for that length of time.

Ive packed her favourite toys, food and her blanket but I'm so worried about leaving her. She knows when the big cases come out its a dog free holiday so she is so cross with us!

I know she will be absolutely loved and spoilt rotten by her sitter, who takes her on marvelous adventures and they are a retired couple who's dog died last year so they are super excited to borrow the pooch.

But she's my baby and I am going to miss her so so much 😢

Just need to get it out because DH is fed up of me being upset about leaving her!

Oh and I have booked her a holiday to her favourite beach for May half term so she's not going to miss out on a holiday this year

Oh it’s so hard. But, she will be fine. Remember that dogs don’t measure time like humans, they live in the moment, and if she’s being cared for by the boarder, she will be quite happy.
DH & I struggle to leave our 2 and talk about them constantly when we are away, but they are always fine.
You give her a nice life the rest of the time, so relax.

Thanks, hate how empty the house is, although we have a very happy pet rat who is loving life without the small shouty one!!

Ive already had a picture of Moo snuggled on the couch with our sitters husband being fed bits of grilled chicken!! She is a happy pooch!!
