Dogs really are too precious for this world

The cost of living crisis all got on top of me today and o ended up on tears trying to sort a bill on the phone in my freezing cold house. As soon as o got off the phone, I burst into tears and our dog immediately jumped up and licked all my tears way and squashed me in a sort of doggy hug. Then he gave me his favourite ball and didn’t even expect me to throw it for him. Of course this made me cry even more! I’m ok now, thanks to him but he’s still sticking close to me just to make sure.

He’s never seen anyone cry before except me in the very early days of puppy hell but he knew exactly what to do!

I love him so damn much 🥰🥰🥰.

Dogs are the best people in the world.

Since my wife died, every time I start crying, my dog brings me a toy and wants to play with me to distract me.

What a lovely best friend to have. Reading these stories, I can’t believe I read somewhere today that having pets is a “luxury” item. They’re a necessity!

I have 5 of the buggers plus a very soppy cat who actually wraps his paws around your arm to cuddle at night and snuggles cheek to cheek with me all night long.

2 are under the blanket so you can't see them and that's mum (of all the others) on the floor.

When I'm sad or upset all 5 try to lick me and get very unsettled.

@Joystir59 aww I hope your dog can help you at this horrible time.

@Drawerofcrap you look very cosy there. Mind you all 5 of your dogs probably wouldn’t equal the size of my 1 😂.

@Els1e no he is definitely a necessity. I would happily go without food to make sure he’s fed if it came down to that (and obviously I’d feed DS first)!

First time I had an epileptic seizure in front of our dog she brought me toys. Actually pushing a kong in to my face. I had 3 round my head when It had finished.

There is nothing that compares to a dogs love, without doubt getting my beautiful girl 13 years ago was the best thing I ever did, the love and joy she has brought to my life is beyond compare, she is poorly now and won’t be with me for much longer, I know I am facing the bleakest time in the not too distant future so I am making the most of the time we have left, I hope she knows how much I love her.

I have a terrier so he's not the most sentimental, but he has been known to lay at my feet when I'm in bed in pain and he curled up against my neck last night when a nasty migraine struck at 2am.

But something caused me to have a little cry over my lost DM recently - it comes in waves - and he unexpectedly climbed into my lap to lick my tears away and snuggle in to me. He's not really into laps!
