How bad will this be..kennels next door

We have just moved semi rurally, no neighbour as next door is being renovated. Detached houses but relatively close, long gardens alongside each other with a thick hedge between. We've met the guy moving in next door and he has 6 working dogs that hes going to keep in a kennel at the end of the garden. I know nothing about dogs and not a huge fan..is this going to be hugely awful? I imagine they'll be barking a lot, or at least if I go up that end of the garden and probably smell..I assume he leaves them in all day whilst he's at work. Anyone have dogs in a similar set up or any experience of this please?

Sorry, should have said that if he has dogs for rabbiting, he'll probably have ferrets too.

Whippets are the best dogs you could possibly have as neighbours. I hope his kennels are plush - they do feel the cold so.

There is a kennel a mile up the road from us, but a business not working dogs
Depending on the wind we hear the barking during the morning and evening feeds but you get used to it
