Is it a coincidence that ddog has gastro enteritis at the same time as myself and my 5 year old daughter? Or could it be linked?

Does your dog eat any human food scraps?
Lick you? I don’t know if it can be passed between species by airborne contact, but food poisoning certainly could if he ate the same things you did.

That's a good point- I can't think of any shared food though, and I started to be sick 36 hours after DD did, which makes me think it's more a virus than food poisoning.

There are quite a few infections that can cause gastro symptoms in both humans and animals. Transmission would generally be by the grimly-named (but descriptive) “faecal-oral route” Confused
