Safe long lasting chews for large dogs?

I have read that rawhide is a terrible option. I have a 30kg dog who will be about 35-40kg when fully grown.
I would like to buy her some chews she can have around the house. We have tried yaker before and she really liked that but it disappeared way to quickly and wasn't ''long lasting'' at all.

What does everyone buy for their large pooches that is safe and last them longer than an hour?

Definitely don't buy rawhide, it's so bad for them!

Agree about the Yakers, my two boys love them but they don't last long.

Ones we have found last are antlers, buffalo horns and cows hooves.
Out of them the antlers definitely last the longest!

Following this post though to see what else there is as my two eat everything in seconds!

Antlers are good, and olive wood chews

I'm not a fan of antlers - they can damage and break teeth.

I would try things like - camel skins, buffalo skins, hairy beef skins, cows hooves (you can get these stuffed or unstuffed, or just fill them with whatever you like), pizzles, ostrich braids etc.

JRPetProducts is a really good site. Their pate is also good for stuffing in kongs etc.

Ostrich bones for our 32kg lab - but we give them as a treat and don't leave them lying around. When he's gnawed off the honeycomb ends and gets to the middle of the bone we bin them. He's got a chewroot which he's not especially fussed with. Loves yak chews but they don't last very long, enjoyed an olive wood stick, split antlers, and loves the various body parts from JRPet products, especially rabbit ears with hair Confused but they are nowhere near as long lasting as the ostrich bones.

Oh and yes to the pizzles and hooves but they can HONK it's a good job I love him to bits!

Ostrich bones for my 27kg mutt too. Last ages. Also buffalo horns.

Our dog is 61kgs and enjoys a coo's lug (cow's ear). Lasts her around 30 minutes.

My boys love a hoof, and they last forever. At 50p each I don't mind them being buried in the garden either. No interest in the antler or buffalo horn, I think that hooves soften and smell/taste as they are chewed which keeps them coming back.
Pizzle sticks are very popular as a treat but don't last more than 30 minutes

Check our slab fractures and the risks of ankles before you feed them. It’s a risk that you may or may not want to take.

Dried beef scalp … get mine from Zooplus

How?! Grin

My beagle can demolish a cows ear in less than five minutes!

He gets his fair share too so I think he's just a greedy bugger Grin

Luckily he does tons of exercise to burn it all off otherwise I'm sure he'd be the size of a house 🙈
