Soft moveable lump on 9 month old puppy

I guess I’ll have to book a vets appointment on Monday but I’m hoping I might be able to stop worrying so much 😔

I noticed a soft moveable lump on my 9 month old puppy last night. It’s about a couple of inches or so under her armpit, sort of where her tummy meets her side. She absolutely loves a tummy rub so I’m always feeling there and haven’t noticed it so I think it must have come up recently.

Not sure if it’s related but near the lump (maybe on top of it) I felt what seems like a small dent / crater, like when a scab has come off. We do have a cat and they were fighting recently. Not sure if that would cause the lump though? I’ve attached a picture of what you can see but it’s not a great pic.

I’m so worried about her, I know they can get fatty lumps but that seems to be older dogs? She’s also very skinny (weighs 5kg) but not sure if that makes a difference.

Our Border Collie got a soft moveable fatty lump when he was less than a year old. We think it was due to pulling in lead so much. It went away with a better fitting harness.

Definitely go to vet but don’t worry too much.

Ah, thank you, I’m glad your boy was okay!

That’s interesting, she has just got a new harness because her other one was looking a bit tight 🤔
