Very personal taste walking boots.

I like Merrell (they tend to be quite wide)
Saloman
Berghaus

My lastet £40 Peter Storm boots have been fab totally waterproof great fit for my feet.

I got some Peter Storm boots just before Christmas too @PollyRoulllson as mine had given up. They were a panic buy and I thought if they last me just a few months then so be it.
They're great! I have slim boney feet that blister easily and they've been a dream to break in too. Waterproof, comfy and cheap. Amazing!

I bought some Brasher ones in November and have been really impressed.

I have Mindel walking boots and a pair of soft shell mountain warehouse boots.
Both are fab and great for wide feet.

Scarpa - best boots I have owned.

Two pairs have served me over the last >35 years (since I was a teen doing my D of E expeditions!)

Thanks everyone,
I shall try a different brand & see how I get on!

Scarpa are the gold standard, but Hotter Ridge are light and waterproof as they are Goretex lined.
