Feeding times for Lab.

Our puppy is almost 7 months old and currently has his food 3 times a day.

When do I need to shift to twice daily? Or, is it better to stick to 3 meals a day?

My lab is fed three times a day.

At 7 months, twice a day is fine. I think its easier to manage food portions on 2 meals for a dog prone to putting weight on like a lab

We still feed three times a day. I'm only going to change if led by pup. Tbh, she's not a great eater so trying to make her eat even more each meal isn't something that appeals

Are there any benefits to changing to 2 times a day?

Every half hour or so should suit a lab 🤣. With snacks in between of course!

My dog is half lab and gets one meal a day, plus a chewy mid morning.

I weigh out the food in the morning and then use it throughout the day for training. 7 month old lab.

If you want to feed twice a day just split the daily allowance into 2 meals and not three. Many dogs are fed 2 meals a day from 6 months of age

My dog was on two meals a day at that age and as an adult he now gets fed once, plus treats on walks and a chew mid-morning.
