Fly catching syndrome

This evening my dog has started biting the air, is agitated, won’t lie down. After googling, I came across fly catching syndrome which occurs after a seizure. I’ve been at home with him all day, haven’t witnessed a seizure, he’s never had one before and never done this before.

Can anyone offer advice? I can’t get him to the vets as have covid and don’t have anyone nearby. I’m not sure if it’s something that will go by itself or he needs to see a vet

He does need to see a vet. It may be pain, sometimes stomach discomfort but there are many reasons and it does need further investigation.

Your insurance may have an advice line you can call but do phone your vet and they will be able to evaluate the situation and see if it needs immediate attention.

Hope you get better soon too
