Dog friendly scents for diffuser

Wasn’t sure which area to put this in but I was bought a neom diffuser which is fab but have only just learnt that some essential oils can be poisonous for dogs. Neom are no help and just say refer to a vet. Does anyone use any essential oils in their diffuser that are dog friendly?

(Wet weather = stinky spaniel)

I know citrus-based essential oils can be harmful to dogs, and I think ylang-ylang and peppermint are bad too.

Lavender, rosemary and lemongrass are ok - there's a few articles online that give other bad/good ones

There aren't really essential oils that definitely WON'T irritate skin unless they are diluted in a suspension. What you need is to just keep it out of the dog's way so the dog doesn't get it on its skin. I have cats and I'm the same- on a high shelf that's too small for the cat to jump on. Contrary to popular belief, even many natural essential oils can be an irritant to skin.

I wouldn't let any essential oil near an animal's skin. They're not designed for that.

Just keep it up out of the way of the dog, mine is on the kitchen windowsill (he's a chihuahua so no chance of him getting up there!)

Just keep it up and away from the dog in question, surely? They won't be harmful unless the dog eats it or it gets on their skin.

I burn wax melts everyday - they're just on a shelf away from our dog and three cats - it's never been an issue and I've been doing it all their lives - they're 1,3, 5 and 6 now.

I thought diffusers and wax melts can cause respiratory harm and damage to the dogs central nervous system as well as issues with skin but no medic so this could be rubbish
