Getting second vet opinion?

Can I just register at another practice to get another opinion on my dog?

Current vets don’t want to X-ray my 10 month old dog for issues with her walking and head tilting until she is over 12 months. But doesn’t seem right to leave her when something is clearly not right.

Would I have to inform current vet that I was seeking a second opinion? No insurance claim has started yet as I paid for the consultation. Any advice appreciated!

You're free to go to whatever practise you want :) it's fine, honestly!

The new vet will ask for records from your previous vet usually

Ok that’s good to know. The vet I’m with now has a good reputation and links to a an osteo specialist. so I’m hesitant to jump ship to another vet but I do think another opinion is justified.

Can you be registered at two vets at once? or would going to new vet and them asking for records as automatically de-register me at current vet?

Sorry if I sound dull but poor pups problems started a couple of months ago and it just seems so cruel to make her wait for a diagnosis. I’m so worried about her. And I was under the impression with hip issues that treating them younger was preferable.
