Have any of you ever done this with your dog? Are the courses worth it? I think my young dog would love it but it would involve travel and expense. Would love to hear about any experiences.

We've done an introduction workshop (half day) with our puppy and she loved it. We'll be doing a follow on session in a museum in January. Where we are once you've done the introduction workshop you can book on to the individual follow on sessions as you like, so no commitment needed, just pick and choose sessions when convenient.

Thanks so much for responding. Could you do it without the sessions or do you really need them to get going?

Personally I would do a starter session. It is great fun. Best to understand the foundations first.

Doing it on your own is hard as you need to find mispers (people willing to hide for you to search). You will need a variety of people and not just searching for the same person each time.

What previous experience do you have with dog searching scentwork?

ReallyMary · 18/12/2021 09:02

searching or scentwork!

None! I think you’re right that an introduction art course would be huge fun and very helpful. I’m in London though so finding one may be hard.

Art? No idea why that word slipped in!
