My 9 month old shitzu is having her first season (have booked spay).
She's is a tiny little thing and hardly bleeding but we think she started last weds.
Can't remember what we did we our old girl as it was so long ago, but she is much bigger and everything was very 'obvious' - swelling and bleeding.
Waiting for the bleeding to stop and will check the swelling - have been walking her in very quiet areas at quiet times, on lead.
When do I know she is safe to have a run around in the dog park? I'd rather be over cautious but it's her favourite thing to play with other dogs, so I'd like to get her back to doing that, as long as it's safe....
