German shepherd puppy

I am a waiting list for a littler due on NYE. I don't have the puppy yet, but totally excited. Trying to think of possible names for a girl puppy.
So far have
Zena
Zoe
Rani
So far Zena is top for me.
Some help thinking of names, please, my children want a harsh sounding name, but I prefer softer names for gsd girls.

Maggie
Penny

Lucy
Daisy

I like zena. Also Zelda?

Nova would be a lovely name for a GSD puppy born on NYE or possibly NY day as it means "new".

Don’t know if it matters to you or not, but I’d assume Zena was Xena as in warrior princess if I heard it.

If you're going to be ensuring dog has seriously good training, IME keep names short as possible like a command but ensuring they don't sound like a command, e.g. Fletch and Fetch or Moe and No.

A short 'snappy' name is easy for pup to remember and takes tone easily e.g. Flopsy versus Zen/Zena.

Having said all that I only came on to see a cute picture of puppy!
