Can any one recommend a camera please? Need to start leaving DDog more and would like to see how she copes! I'm thinking something that is simple to use and set up with an iPhone.

Many thanks!

We used a Tapo camera for DDog

Never wanted one. Witnessing my lovely wallpaper and flooring being demolished would have been too difficult..

We have a ring camera which we turn on when we leave her. She doesn't move much but always the game of what is she up to when out of shot. Usually a paw will then appear in the air and she's fallen asleep under the camera!

Our one is from Anker (they also make the Eufy robot hoovers). Its pretty good; you can check in from your phone (you can have it on multiple devices, DH and I can both check from our android phones), pivot around the room, set a notification if it picks up sounds (so you'd get an alert if DDog barked) & you can speak through it (although I did thus once and confused the hell out of AwkwardPup).

It was great for building up leaving him as we could ensure we got back before he got upset / anxious. We built up very gradually but now I can check in and if he's sleeping, all good. If he's awake and restless, time to head home. I think it was more reassuring for me than anything else!

We have a ring wireless camera. It works well.

whereisthekey · 01/12/2021 22:41

Barkio app downloaded on my phone and an ipad.
it works well.. although I think it worse being able to see them standing on the kitchen bench and other naughty things!

lovemyaussie · 02/12/2021 23:12

Thank you all!

I might look into the Barkio app.... do you pay the subscription @whereisthekey ?

Will also look at Ring cameras and Eufy camera as that was on my list.

Here's to DDog gradually building up and rocking being home alone!

Tapo rotating one. It's great. I've got a couple.

whereisthekey · 03/12/2021 11:59

@lovemyaussie I did pay subscription yes but figured I won't need it after the one year (as hopefully I can trust the dog soon!) so i cancelled it so it won't automatically renew, but still.works for next 12 months

lovemyaussie · 03/12/2021 17:50

Thank you @whereisthekey - I might try the free trial and see how it goes. Also hoping I won't need it too long!

@Goawayangryman That does look like a good option too, thank you.

Another Tapo vote about £20 on Amazon and it’s great

ShirleyPhallus · 05/12/2021 22:00

I have one called Iittlelf smart, £20 on Amazon, download an app and turns your smartphone in to the monitor

It’s portable too, you can swivel the camera / zoom in / talk through it

Furbo is great.

Good quality camera and you can throw treats.

Also get alerts if your dog is barking.
