do you walk your dog in the dark?

my dm is always so shocked that anyone walks their dog in the dark
very strange.
she has had dogs but i guess she got home earlier enough not to have to walk her dog

I love walking mine around the fields in the dark. I have a head torch, so can see where I'm going. I get so much joy from walking at night through the fields, watching the dogs bouncing through the grass.

They are off lead, and love it. My main worry is that I'm going to be taken out by a whippet running at 30 mph. I make sure I've got my phone, in case I need to call for help.

When I lived in a town I was anxious passing men at night, and the dog definitely picked up on it. She was reactive to men passing, having been fine when we lived rurally.
