Bin recommendations please

we have a cocker spaniel that has learnt the art of copying. He can now open doors and has figured out how to step on the bin handle and then simultaneously nose the bin open grrr

we are undergoing renovations at the moment and the bin used to be in a cupboard but is now standing free so we need to get another one that he is unable to open

does anyone have any recommendations? I can see a lot online say pet proof but I'd like first hand experience if possible! Thanks

We have this Simple Human one. My old Lurcher boy’s nickname is Binnie Pig, but he has never managed to get into it.

The only negative is that it’s quite light and can be knocked over when almost empty if your dog is determined enough. My dog has knocked ours over, but it remained locked so he still didn’t get into it or make a mess. I have heard some people put a brick in the bottom, under the bin bag to get around that problem though.

Wee got an alarm to go on our bin so every time you opened it, the alarm went off unless you turned it off by a switch. It stopped our greedy lab from putting his head in the bin.

We've got this one www.amazon.co.uk/simplehuman-Rectangular-Touch-Bar-Bin-Fingerprint-Proof/dp/B0081HFD88?tag=mumsnetforu03-21

We've got 2 very eager spaniels and touch wood, they've never mastered this one and it's pretty solid/heavy.

We have one from Webbo that looks a bit like R2D2.
It opens at the top and there is quite a gap between the lid and the contents so I can’t see how a dog could get to it

We have this one too. Simple but effective.
