Not online & you need a dog!

The Kennel Club does good citizen dog scheme. This starts with a puppy class and you move on to bronze, silver and gold standard. I highly recommend this for any novice dog owners. The class is run by local dig clubs and the first few lessons are all about dog ownership.

We did the Good Citizen scheme with our pup. By some miracle he got his bronze rosette ( which he ate). It was excellent. We are first time dog owners and it helped our confidence no end. We also arranged for a trainer to visit our home once a week for a month starting the week DPup arrived just to bombard her with questions and for advice.

We are first time dog owners, have found the books by Pippa Mattison really helpful, have joined the Dog Training Advice and Support group on FB, and just completed the Dog's Trust Dog School classes. So far so good!

I love the Dog Training Advice and Support Facebook page. It really is the most amazing resource.

I really recommend the Steve Mann book Easy Peasy Puppy Squeazy
Easy to read, great advice that works, it was our bible for toilet and crate training
