Volunteer cinnamon trust

I've just sent an initial email to cinnamon trust enquiring and they've emailed back saying they need a passport photo of you and three references who've known you for a while
I didn't know it was this detailed
Has anyone done this? Who did you use as a reference? What do they ask them to say??

Any reference I have done for friends, I have said

I have known ………. For …. Years and have found them to be trustworthy, punctual, conscientious and a very nice, friendly person who gets on well with everyone.

They may send out a standard form. We ask employers and friends and family members to give references.

I did this before I got my old dog. You end up going to the homes of mostly elderly/vulnerable people so it’s important they check you out. They send out a reference form to the people you nominate.

I volunteered over a year ago but have never been contacted. but just put three friends down as references. their checks were pretty quick and easy and i think the whole process took less than 2 weeks

Oh right this is disappointing that you might not be contacted

I’m a Guide leader so had some other leaders to put down. I only walked two dogs in the three years I did it - you gets lots of calls asking for help taking animals to the vet but not many for actual walks. Think it depends where you live though and how high awareness is in your area so people know to ask for help.
