How than the people who did this atrocity sleep nights?
Don't know how to link and prob best not look at pics (I didn't) but a woman's home in China was broken into by Covid officials who beat her ddog to death with a metal crowbar..
In a bid to stop it spreading Covid..
The ddog tested negative..
I feel physically sick.

I saw this too (wish I hadn't). There are no animal welfare laws in China - far from it, they eat cats and dogs (Yulin festival every June), they keep bears in ramshackle crates so that they can harvest their bile. They believe rhinoceros horn will enhance them in some way (hence the poaching of Rhinos), they make/sell elephant tusks (poaching again). They truly are evil.

But in a civilised age how can they believe that crap? That poor woman. And that poor ddog. Vile vile individuals..

They skin dogs for their coats too ..... big push on by PETA at the moment to publicise this.

Also be aware that if you buy products (toiletries) that are sold in China then they will by law be tested on animals in China, whether they are tested or not in the country that produced them.

Can we please not have a thread full of inaccurate and racist sweeping statements?
It seems the dog's owner cared very much about them and the social media outcry from the Chinese public shows how much they are horrified by this.

Racists sweeping statements and assumptions that all Chinese people support Yulin are grossly misleading

If they did then this wouldn't be news would it?

Absolutely WaltzingBetty. I am involved with an animal rescue charity based in China and am in awe of the bravery of the Chinese activists who are making real progress there.
In the UK there are also inhuman bastards who are involved in dogfighting. Greyhounds are treated terribly just to make money for gambling. Many die on the track and the others are discarded like rubbish when they are done. In the UK, beagles are bred for horrific experiments. A slow agonising death.
Yes, the images you describe are shocking but the same and worse happens right on our doorstep and we call ourselves animal lovers and look down on everyone else.

TyrannysaurusXXrightshoarder · 16/11/2021 19:26

Absolutely MrsSkrebensky. A dog rescue charity that I support (mostly breed specific rescues from this country) have been supporting a group of dogs, rescued from the meat trade, since the beginning of 2020 - unable to be transferred here because of the pandemic. They’ve been doing an amazing job of looking after these dogs, for over a year, and it’s only been possible due to the local people on the ground in China.
